In 1991 Redwood Merchant Service (RMS) began as a small bankcard department as part of our home town bank in Santa Rosa, California. RMS began by offering local merchants bankcard services.

In 1997 we began to reach out to serve the nation. What set RMS apart from the pack was the specialized service benefits that we offered. RMS does not use phone trees or voice mail to operate our business. We employ individuals who are excited and very knowledgeable about the bankcard industry. This enables us to offer exceptional customer service to our merchants.

In 2001, that small division became Redwood Merchant Services. RMS has agent offices across the country, Independent Sales Organizations, and banks that do business with us because of our personalized attention.
In the spring of 2005 we gained the support of Westamerica Bank (member FDIC) through acquisition. RMS has since increased in size. So much so that we relocated to a larger, more state-of-the-art facility in May 2007.
